1-to-1 Device Information
The Thornapple Kellogg Schools 1-to-1 program is designed to support robust and effective, 21st Century Learning with technology both in the classroom and outside of the classroom. We believe that providing access to technology resources both inside and outside of the classroom provides students with the means to learn core content while being collaborative, creative, and critical thinkers. Our 1-to-1 program supports our district mission to Encourage and Develop the Greatest Potential of Each Student.
2020-2021 School Year
Parents/Guardians, We have our 1-to-1 Device Agreement and Optional Insurance Agreement ready for you to read and sign in PowerParent. All parents/guardians need to read and sign the 1-to-1 Device Agreement, and you must do this for each of your students in PowerParent. This is applicable to all K-12 students and students in TKVS who are using a school-issued chromebook.
If you are electing to purchase the Optional Device Insurance, please read and sign the Optional Device Insurance Agreement in PowerParent. You must do this for each of your students. Signing up for the Optional Device Insurance is Step 1.
Step 2 is paying for the Optional Device Insurance. We are extending the period to elect purchasing Optional Device Insurance for this school year to October 31st. Shortly after the October 31st deadline, a $20 fee per student ($60 family maximum) will appear in PowerParent, and you can then pay for the insurance online. More instructions on that process will follow closer to October 31st.
Instructions for accepting the 1-to-1 Device Agreement and Optional Insurance Agreement can be found here in English and here in Spanish.
