Safety of all students and staff is always a top priority at Thornapple Kellogg Schools. The district employs two full-time resource officers  - Tony Stein and Jeff Nieuwenhuis. Both are retired from the Barry County Sheriff’s Department with years of professional police service and training. Our resource officers work within all our buildings to build relationships with students and staff and continue to monitor safety in and around all facilities. They also work to schedule all regular safety drills and continue training and assisting staff in best safety practices.
