McFall Teacher Thinks Outside the Box in Workshop Presentation

Jennifer Reifinger is used to being in front of a classroom of first grade students, but she turned the tables a bit at a recent presentation for future teachers.  Her own students became real-life educators in action models, participating in a learning lab before a room full of soon-to-be teachers at the Annual Aquinas College “Fire Up” Conference.

Cross Country Teams Sweep Conference

Congratulations to both the TK boys and girls cross country teams. Both teams won the OK Gold Conference titles Tuesday. Tannah Adgate and Olivia Lamberg both finished in the top 10 runners for the girls race. The boys had Luke Noah, Erik Walter and Joe Gaikema all in the top 10. The teams compete next at the October 31 regional at Portage.

Dedicated TK Volunteer Honored As Hometown Hero

Janis Fitzgerald has poured countless volunteer hours into the Thornapple Kellogg Schools starting the Battle of the Books contest, and serving as coordinator for the Odyssey of the Mind teams. And because of her dedication to the schools, she was honored last week at the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation dinner as the Hometown Hero.
