TK Schools will celebrate homecoming Sept. 22

The parade starts at 5 p.m. Friday starting from Lee Elementary parking lot and ending at the high school parking lot south of the High School on Bender Road. Immediately after the parade, there will be tailgate festivities including hot dogs and chips donated by TV Church. There will also be inflatables, games and activities. TK spirit temporary tattoos will be for sale all week at each of the buildings with proceeds benefiting the cognitively impaired classes.

The football game kicks off at 7 p.m. against Forest Hills Eastern with the band performing prior to the game and at halftime. The homecoming king and queen will also be crowned at halftime and TK alumni are planning some special events during the game. Alumni t-shirts will also be available for sale and order.

Saturday night will be the high school homecoming dance from 7 to 10 p.m. at the high school.

Leading up to the weekend events will be special spirit days for students at all grade levels. Elementary students will be able to participate in Marvel Monday to dress up like a superhero; Pajama Day Tuesday; On Wednesday We Wear Pink Day; Fancy Day on Thursday and TK Spirit Day on Friday.

Middle School special dress up day will be Marvel Monday, Academy Award Tuesday – dress up day; On Wednesdays We Wear Pink Day; Benchwarmer Thursday wear athletic gear and hat day; and TK Spirit day on Friday.

The high school will have Marvel Monday, Benchwarmer Day Tuesday, We Wear Pink on Wednesdays; Academy Awards Day Thursday and TK spirit day Friday.

The homecoming court was announced Friday. Freshman representatives are Natalie O'Riley and Gavin Bailey; sophomore representation is Anna Miller and Jake Maring; junior representatives are Katie Dinkel and Chaz Knorr and senior members are Devyn DeLoach, Bella Peters, Corissa King, Michael Maring, Jackson Reed and Kyle Smith.
