TKHS To Host Mock Drunk-Driving Accident

This event is sponsored by the TKHS Student Council and Thornapple Township Emergency Services. The simulation will be a drunk-driving accident. No one is actually injured and the entire event is staged but created to look realistic.

With prom, graduation and lots of parties, spring can be a very dangerous time for young drivers.

The mock accident will help educate and remind students of  the dangers of drinking and driving and the impact it can have on many lives.  This will also be an opportunity for emergency personnel to practice and  train for this type of situation.

After the mock crash scene outside, high school students will return to the school for a mock trial for the drunk driver and a mock funeral for one of the crash victims.
