YAC Grant Gives Students A Change

Thanks to a YAC grant, Brittany Brown's first graders can wiggle, bounce and move around in their McFall Elementary classroom. Brown received a $300 grant for flexible seating for her students. Funds were used to purchase wobble stools, ball chairs and some foam seats. She also purchased some kick bands that are placed around the legs of conventional chairs but allow students to kick the rubber band and shuffle their legs. Brown said the students love the new seats that allow them to move and be a little more active.
