Last Day of School will be Half Day June 1 as Planned

The last day of school will be a half day of school Friday, June 1 as originally planned thanks to an exemption to TK granted by the state. The district exceeded the "six days" of "forgiven" time toward the day and hour requirements when school is canceled due to reasons such as bad weather, etc. However, the State does allow districts to apply for "Additional Forgiven Time" to avoid the burden of adding school days and or minutes. The district applied for this and was granted the exemption. So - the last day will be as planned - a half day Friday, June 1 - assuming no other issues arise forcing the district to close.
