TK Superintendent: Planning Begins on Exciting Bond Projects

This past November, our TK community again showed their support by approving the
$42.8 million bond to meet the needs of our district in growth, basic infrastructure,
and enhanced learning environments. Support from our voters is – as they say –
priceless. It is not something we take for granted, but appreciate by being good
stewards of the bond funds and getting the best and most out of every dollar spent.
It not only means you as a community are willing to support our students and our
needs, but also that you trust the district administration and the board of education
to continue doing what’s best for kids.

Construction on new classrooms at McFall, Lee and Page are carefully being designed
before state permits are sought. The permitting process typically takes at least
three months itself. While we know everyone is as anxious as we are to see work
begin, we also want to make sure we take our time and do proper planning and
preparation. Our architects expect to begin construction of additional classrooms at
the elementary buildings by early Fall 2020 with completion by Fall of 2021.

I want to thank you again for supporting this great school system and for being
patient as we work on the projects. We will keep you informed on progress with a
Bond Page on our TK website at www.tkschools.org, future editions of the TK Key and
information on our social media sites.

As always, if you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to call me at 269-795-5521.

Thank you again for your continued support.
Together we are doing great things for all TK students!

Sincerely,
Robert J. Blitchok
