The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards date back to 1923 and continue to be a most prestigious program for creative teens. Young artists and writers in grades 7-12 submit work in 29 categories for regional judging. Gold Keys, the highest awards, are then submitted from each region for national adjudication.

Last year, students from across the nation submitted nearly 340,000 original works to the contest.
