Welcome to the website for the Thornapple Kellogg Schools. Our school district is located in Middleville, which is in northern Barry County, just southeast of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The district features an early childhood center, three elementary buildings, a middle and a high school, and all uniquely located along the village’s main street within blocks of each other. An annual operating budget of approximately 26 million supports an enrollment of 3,200 students and about 375 employees.

Though we are located in Barry County, Thornapple Kellogg is one of 20 school districts in the Kent Intermediate School District. Teachers, support staff, administrators, the Board of Education, and community all contribute to, and take great pride in, a quality educational program for the students we serve. We annually score among the top performing districts on state assessments in the KISD, and we are committed to providing programming that will develop college and career-ready students. We invite you to review information in our annual report regarding student achievement, curriculum, accreditation, parent participation, and many other factors related to the school improvement process.

The success of the district is largely contingent upon the support of the community, and volunteers contribute to the education of our students on a daily basis. We are also fortunate to have the support of many local organizations such as the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation, United Way, Rotary, Lions, the Barry Community Foundation, and many others. Our partnership with the community is founded in the trust that we will work in collaboration to nurture and prepare our students for an ever-changing world beyond graduation from Thornapple Kellogg Schools.
