TKHS Announces Top 10 Students in Class of 2026

Thornapple Kellogg High School announces the Top 10 academic students for the Class of 2026. The students are (listed in alphabetical order): Devon Barnhill, Elise DeBoer, Noah Donker, Alexander Frizzell, McKenna Hoebeke, Jacob Newland, Thomas Poll, Emma Reaser, Lilian Rubert, Franklin Wilkinson.

Horses and Pigs and Yaks…Oh My!

The south parking lot at Thornapple Kellogg High School is usually reserved for buses, trucks and cars. But today, cows, pigs, goats, horses and other livestock took over a small portion of the lot for the annual FFA petting zoo. High school students shared their knowledge of their chickens, rabbits, ducks, calves, lambs, and yes - even yaks!

TK Alumni Association Hosts Annual Alumni Dinner

Three alumni from classes in the 1940s stood side-by-side for a photo at the annual TK Alumni Association all-class banquet. All in their 90’s now, they remembered fondly their times in school and how happy they were to attend the annual all-class reunion dinner.

Students Give Salmon Advice at Farewell Sendoff

With a wave from the shore, third graders said good-bye this week to the Chinook salmon they have been raising in their classroom since late fall. “Swim fast,” was one students’ advice to his fish as his third-grade teacher carefully dipped the cup holding the fish into the water, letting the salmon swim away. Others offered, “Don’t get eaten,” “Don’t die,” “Enjoy the water,” and even one offering “Catch you later.”

Welcome to Thornapple Kellogg Schools! We're glad you're here!
We strive to make TK Schools a safe, nurturing, and enriching learning environment for all students where they can enjoy learning, growing and developing positive relationships with caring administrators, teachers and staff.  We strive to make every student feel important, safe and respected as well as challenged in their curriculum.
We believe we have a unique environment filled with positive support from the community, TK families and all of our TK staff - all dedicated to making our school district the very best. We are all working toward the same goal - providing each student who comes through our doors with the best educational experience possible and preparing them to achieve their future goals.
Our TK community is especially committed to our schools and work cooperatively to provide real-world experiences, opportunities and much-needed support. Parental involvement is highly welcomed at all levels. Our middle and high school administrators have regular parent advisory meetings for input and discussion. Our elementary schools are supported by a very active Parent Teacher Organization which is always looking for volunteers.
