 STARBASE Pop Can Drive

5th Grade Pop Can Drive
What
: Bring in all your empty pop cans to school.

Where: Cans will be collected in each 5th grade classroom.

Why: To raise money for bus transportation for 5th grade STARBASE field trips.
Our goal is to raise $3000.

STARBASE is an off-site enrichment program focusing on math, science, and technology that uses the aerospace field as a theme.  The main goal of the STARBASE Program is to increase student performance and interest in careers in science, technology, engineering and math. Using a “hands-on, minds-on” approach to teaching, students are immersed in the scientific process, allowing them to ask questions, experiment and draw conclusions in a way that leads to deeper understanding of Science and Math concepts.  This program is housed at the Battle Creek Air National Guard Base and funded by the Federal Government.

Our pop can drive will help cover the cost of bus transportation as this is the only portion of this program that is not funded.

 Transportation Transfer Area

Due to construction at the high school, the afternoon elementary bus transfer is at the Transportation Complex area this year.

For security reasons, students cannot be picked up in that area.

Thanks for your help in keeping our students safe.

For more information, go to our Transporation page, listed above under Departments.
