TKHS FITNESS CENTER RULES AND REGULATIONS

We are pleased to open our facilities for your use. Please
read through the following handout so you have an understanding of our rules and
regulations.
There are inherent risks of injury in physical activities
and therefore participating can cause injury. Before
starting an exercise program, or significantly increasing your exercise level,
it is important that one consults a doctor or health care provider.
We ask for your full cooperation
in following our guidelines and policies regarding proper conduct and proper use
of equipment and facilities. Failure to abide by these guidelines and policies
may result in denial of continued access to our facility. We want to make your
fitness experience safe, productive, and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you!
General Rules &
Regulations:
- Use of tobacco, tobacco
products, alcohol, and illegal substances are prohibited at TK Schools.
- Please sign in when entering
the fitness center and sign out when exiting.
- Inappropriate language will
not be tolerated.
- Students that are not yet in
high school are not permitted in the fitness center.
- Workout clothes are
required. Shirts must be worn at all times and closed-toe athletic shoes are
also required.
- Food and open drinks are prohibited in the fitness
center. However, feel free to bring water in a closed (non-glass) container.
- Replace all weights on
appropriate racks.
- Please do not slam or drop
the weights when finished with a lift.
- Please seek the assistance of
a spotter and use weight collars when lifting with free weights.
- Please wipe down machines when you finish using them
(esp. the vinyl). Paper towel and cleaning bottles are provided by the
fitness center.
- Please change wet shoes before entering the fitness
center.
- Absolutely no horseplay or loitering will be tolerated
in the fitness center.
- Do not lean against mirrors or equipment. Do not lean
plates/equipment against mirrors.
- Please limit your workout to a maximum of 30 minutes on
the cardio equipment…preferably 20 minutes if there are people waiting.
Other:
- Please report any malfunctions of equipment to the
supervisor.
- Please do not bring valuables. We are not responsible
if lost.
- Locker rooms are available only in the morning. Please
use the “pool” locker rooms. If you use a lock, please remove when leaving.
- There will be lockers outside the fitness center for
night and Saturday hours. Again, if you use a lock, please remove when
leaving. Do not store your “stuff” in the fitness center or on the fitness
center counter.
- If school is closed because of inclement weather, the
fitness center will remained closed throughout the day.
- Please be prepared to show ID if asked to do so.
- TK Schools are not responsible for lost or stolen
membership cards.
- If you want music other than what we have…we suggest you
bring head phones.
- We reserve the right to deny access to any individual
who violates policy, rules, regulations, or guidelines of TK Schools and/or
the TK School Fitness Center.
- Fees and hours are subject to change.
