TKAA GIVES GRANTS TO NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS!

“We understand the challenges of new teachers, so we started a new program this year to give a grant to all of our new elementary teachers,” said TKAA President Randy Eggers. “It’s a little something you can use to help establish your classrooms.”
Eggers, TKAA treasurer Wanita Huizenga, and trustee Don Williamson presented the grants recently, welcoming them all to the TK family. “We hope you have a long and successful career here at TK,” said Huizenga.
This year, Thornapple Kellogg has 10 new elementary teachers each receiving the $100 gift.

Your TKAA is pleased to announce that it's Scholarship Fund, administered by the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation, has increased its annual award to two (2) $750 scholarships for TKHS graduating seniors, starting Spring of 2022.
Congratulations! The TK Alumni Association was honored with the Community Partner Award by the Barry Community Foundation in 2017! This well-deserved honor goes to the TK alumni who have worked very hard in less than a year to fully establish this organization. The TKAA started with just $2,000 in 2016 and by 2017 the fund was fully endowed! The first TK Alumni Scholarship was awarded in spring 2017 to a graduating senior as just one of the many ways the organization aims to continue to support TK Schools and students! CONGRATULATIONS TK ALUMNI ASSOCIATION!
Your TK Alumni Association has collaborated with the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation (TAEF) to award scholarships to graduating TK seniors.

The second annual TKAA scholarship was awarded to 2020 TKHS Graduate Madeline Shepard
Madeline will be attending GRCC in the fall for her Gen Eds with plans to transfer to Northern Michigan University to fulfill her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science and Sustainability.

Thank you to all of the golfers for supporting our organization. Thank you to Mullenhurst for helping things go smoothly! Thank you also to our volunteer workers; teamwork made this our best golf outing yet!

TKAA wants to thank the many people that came out yesterday to the 2023 Daylily Dig Fundraiser. It was a successful day and $988 was raised in cash and checks! Guests were inquiring as to if we would have the link still open for donations online. Here is the link and your donation goes directly into the TKAA to fund Scholarships and grants.
